Shelter of Hope Progress Report

By Adeolu Senbanjo | Project Leader

This quarter marked a significant first step in our "Shelter Help For 200 Impoverished Families" project. As the ever-rising cost of building materials and rentals pushes more families into precarious living situations, your support has been more critical than ever. We are thrilled to report that thanks to your generous contributions, we successfully intervened to prevent the eviction of a family, securing their home and providing them with much-needed stability. This project is dear to our heart, and this early success reaffirms the profound impact we can make together.

Project Goal and The Urgent Need

Our overarching goal is to provide critical shelter assistance to 200 impoverished families, protecting them from homelessness and the dangers of living in uninhabitable or uncompleted buildings. The economic pressure on low-income families is immense, and the choice between paying rent and affording daily necessities is a stark reality for many. Your support directly addresses this crisis, offering a lifeline to those on the brink.

Key Achievement This Quarter: A Home Saved

This quarter, our efforts were focused on a family facing imminent eviction due to accumulated rent arrears. The family, which includes three young children, was under immense distress with nowhere else to go.

Action Taken:

  • We engaged directly with the family’s landlord to negotiate a settlement.

  • Utilizing project funds, we were able to clear their outstanding rent and secure their tenancy for the immediate future.

Your donation didn't just pay rent; it provided safety, stability, and hope. The children can continue their schooling without interruption, and the parents can now focus on securing stable employment without the crushing weight of impending homelessness. This single act has changed the trajectory of their lives.

 Looking Ahead: The Next Quarter

While we celebrate this victory, we are keenly aware that many more families need our help. Our goal for the fourth quarter (October - December 2025) is to:

  • Identify and vet at least five more families in critical need of housing support.

  • Continue fundraising efforts to build the capacity to help more families simultaneously.

 A Heartfelt Thank You

We cannot overstate the importance of your partnership. Every donation translates into a tangible, life-altering impact for a family in need. The security we provided to one family this quarter was a direct result of your compassion and generosity.

Thank you for believing in this vital work. We look forward to updating you on our continued progress next quarter.
