Shield the elderly report No. 7
By Michael Prince | Project Leader
The support the Rotary Club of Halstead and the Halstead day Centre have received and are still receiving from the donors through GlobalGiving is outstanding. Thank you all for this support which is helping with the ongoing difficulties in keeping the Day Centre operational.
Since Covid the Day Centre has only been partially operational, opening its doors to members three days a week, thereby restricting its income. Combined with the current cost of living crisis it is more and more difficult to balance the accounts. Forcing the centre to rely even more on donations from members of the public, both at home and abroad. So thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We at the Rotary Club of Halstead and the Halstead Day Centre are truly amazed at the support we are receiving from our donors and GlobalGiving. This continued support has helped the Centre to provide a desperately needed service to the elderly residents of Halstead and the surrounding villages.
In these difficult times, not only caused by the pandemic but now with high inflation, the Centre is even more reliant on the generosity of people like our donors and GlobalGiving. So a very big thank you to all please continue to support this worthwhile cause.
The Rotary Club of Halstead has supported the Halstead Day Centre over many years in the past and will continue to support the Centre in any way it can.

Shield the elderly report No.6
By Michael Prince | Project Leader
Both the Rotary Club of Halstead and the Halstead Day Centre are extremely grateful for the continued support we are receiving through GlobalGiving. This support has been a lifeline which has enabled the Day Centre to remain viable through these difficult times and a very big thank you goes out to all our donors from both the staff and members of the Day Centre and the Rotary Club of Halstead.
The running costs associated with the Centre continue to rise more than ever and it now relies on support from the public and other charities in order to cover its costs.
The Day Centre has always been prudent in our spending, but, the Pandemic has put a huge financial strain on all charities not just The Centre. We always strive to keep The Centre running and provide older people with a haven where they can come to and mix with others from their own generation. The Centre have tightened our belts accordingly to justify every penny spent through GlobalGiving and we are most grateful to all those people that donated and The Halstead Rotarian’s for helping us in so many ways.
