Dear friends,

We are excited to share how your support is translating into real income and renewed hope for our pastoral women through our two tailoring classes, one in Noosidan and the other at the Titeeyio Hub. These programmes bring together older women and young mothers, creating intergenerational spaces for learning, income generation, and mutual support.

Since the classes began, they have become vibrant centres of learning, creativity, and opportunity. Women gather daily to practise skills, share ideas, and support one another. For many older women, this is their first chance to gain a new livelihood skill, while young mothers rebuild their lives after interrupted education or early motherhood.

One of the most encouraging milestones has been the progress of women who completed their training. After months of hands-on learning, they are now producing school uniforms, traditional Maasai attire, dresses, and everyday garments. Several women have already begun earning income through customer orders. On average, women are now earning KES 6,000–8,000 per month from tailoring, compared to little or no income previously, when most relied on irregular casual labour earning less than KES 2,000 per month.

One participant, Mary (name changed), a young mother working alongside older women, shared:
“Before this programme, I relied on casual work that was not reliable. Now I sew from the hub. I earn my own money and feel more confident providing for my children.”

Beyond income, the programme strengthens women’s confidence and decision-making power. Older women speak of renewed purpose, while younger women gain skills, independence, and hope. Both classes foster strong peer connections, with women mentoring one another, sharing clients, and exploring group production opportunities.

While progress is inspiring, limited electricity slows evening activities. Addressing this challenge will unlock the hub’s full potential and increase earning opportunities.

Looking ahead, we aim to strengthen production, expand market access, and ensure both classes remain sustainable spaces where Noosidan women of all ages can continue growing their skills and incomes.

Titeeyio Hub Launch & First Tailoring Graduation

Dear friends,

We are excited to share a milestone that your support has made possible—the successful launch of our Titeeyio Hub and the graduation of our very first tailoring cohort! These achievements mark a new chapter of hope and opportunity for women and girls in our community.

The hub has quickly become a centre of learning, creativity, and empowerment. During the launch, women, elders, and the entire community gathered to celebrate the opening of a safe space dedicated to skills training, cultural knowledge sharing, and collective growth. For many, this hub is not just a building—it is a symbol of dignity, resilience, and possibility.

One of the first groups to benefit were women who completed their tailoring training. Their graduation was a joyous moment, filled with laughter, tears, and a sense of achievement. For many of these women, this was their first opportunity to acquire a skill that can provide income and independence. Already, a few graduates have begun stitching uniforms and garments, turning their training into livelihoods.

Despite these strides, we face a challenge. Once the sun sets, the hub becomes silent. Without electricity, women cannot continue tailoring or beadwork in the evening—precisely when they have time after tending to their families. This limitation slows progress and reduces the potential impact of the hub.

Our next goal is to equip the hub with solar panels. With reliable lighting, women will have the freedom to work and learn in the evenings, extending opportunities and ensuring the hub reaches its full potential.

We warmly invite you to stand with us once again. Your contribution towards solar panels will directly light up the hub, enabling women to bead, tailor, and study even after dark. Together, we can transform this vibrant space into a true beacon of hope.

Titeeyio Hub: A Space for Empowerment and Growth

Dear friends, partners, and supporters,

We are delighted to share a significant milestone in our journey of empowering women and girls—the building of the Titeeyio Hub. Thanks to your support and belief in our mission, we have made a bold step forward in creating a space dedicated to transformation, healing, and opportunity.

A Dream Realised: The Titeeyio Hub

Titeeyio Hub is more than just a building—it is a landmark of hope and progress. It is the first of its kind in our community, created with the vision of providing a safe, accessible, and empowering space where women and girls can gather, learn, and lead.

This hub will serve as:

A training centre for economic empowerment, leadership, and climate resilience programmes.
A sanctuary for girls to express themselves freely, access mentorship, and build their confidence.
A community space for collaboration, innovation, and organising grassroots advocacy.

The excitement around the hub is energising. Women envision cooperative spaces to grow their income, and girls are already dreaming of the opportunities this new space will unlock for them.

Why the Titeeyio Hub Matters

For too long, our work has happened under trees and in borrowed or makeshift spaces. The Titeeyio Hub changes that. It provides a permanent, purpose-driven space where women and girls are not just welcomed—but celebrated, equipped, and empowered.

As one of our teenage mothers shared:

“This space shows us that we are not alone. It’s our space to grow, learn, and stand tall.”

Looking Ahead: A Space for Generations

Titeeyio Hub represents a turning point—not just for Patinaai Osim, but for the entire community. It is a place where dreams will be nurtured, voices amplified, and futures rewritten. It is a space built with love, for impact, and with generations in mind.
