Bumi Sehat's Bali clinic provides life-saving maternal and child healthcare and serves as a disaster response hub for Indonesia and the Philippines. When power fails, safe births and emergency care are at risk. This project will install a grid-connected solar system so the clinic can keep lights on, equipment running, and patients safe, during outages, disasters, and an uncertain energy future.
Bali faces increasing risks from climate-related disasters, grid instability, and rising fuel and energy costs. Power outages can disrupt essential services such as lighting, sterilization, refrigeration of medicines, use of essential medical equipment and emergency birth care. As a frontline health and disaster-response organization, Bumi Sehat needs energy security to continue providing safe care during crises.
This project will install a solar on-grid system at Bumi Sehat's Bali clinic to provide clean, reliable energy for critical services. Solar power will reduce dependence on an unstable grid, protect essential medical equipment, and help ensure safe births and emergency care during outages. Lower electricity costs will also allow more funds to go directly to patient care.
Solar power will help Bumi Sehat remain a safe and reliable place for mothers and babies, no matter what disruptions come. Long-term energy savings will strengthen the clinic's financial stability and expand its ability to serve vulnerable families. A resilient solar-powered clinic will also support disaster response efforts and inspire sustainable healthcare models across Indonesia.
