We continue moving forward in building the Library of the Future!
Hi! I'm Isabel Tafur and I’ve been part of the SOLE Colombia team for a month now. It has been a great experience, as this is a different kind of organization—one that challenges you to think differently and understand social impact projects from a new perspective. And that’s exactly what we’re doing with the communities we work with in the SOLE Labs and this Library of the Future. It all begins with questions—simple yet complex—that emerge from community conversations.
Today, three communities have embraced the SOLE methodology and are dreaming of building something big: a public, collective space with internet access where people can learn, create, and make decisions together. Over time, that dream is taking shape. With the leadership of SOLE Ambassadors and the hands of local people, the Library of the Future is being built in Colombia: a SOLE Lab that is not just a connected place, but a living space where children, youth, and adults gather to ask big questions, imagine their own solutions, and share knowledge collectively. Through these connections, they are transforming the way we understand each other and relate. Today, children, youth, families, and local leaders access stable and free internet. They research, converse, learn. They connect with other communities, build networks, and strengthen their autonomy.
This is proof that the Library of the Future is not just about infrastructure—it’s about community, trust, curiosity, and change. In La Guajira, El Tambo, and Dominguillo, we are building the Library of the Future together.
And although each territory has its own rhythm, history, and challenges, there’s a common energy in all of them: the energy of those who dare to ask, to learn together, and to dream of a better future. That’s the force behind this living network of collective learning—and the one we are proud to keep supporting.

¡Seguimos avanzando en la construcción de la Biblioteca del Futuro!
¡Hola! Soy Isabel Tafur y desde hace un mes hago parte del equipo de SOLE Colombia. Ha sido una gran experiencia, pues ésta es una organización diferente que te reta a pensar y a entender los proyectos de impacto social desde otra perspectiva. Y eso es lo que estamos haciendo con las comunidades con quienes trabajamos en los SOLELabs y en esta Biblioteca del Futuro. Todo parte de preguntas tan sencillas pero complejas que nacen de conversaciones comunitarias.
Hoy hay tres comunidades que se han apropiado de la metodología SOLE y sueñan con consolidar algo grande: un espacio público, colectivo, con Internet para aprender, crear y decidir juntos. Con el paso del tiempo, ese sueño sigue tomando forma. Con el liderazgo de los Embajadores SOLE y las manos de su gente, se viene configurando la Biblioteca del Futuro en Colombia: un SOLE Lab que no es solo un lugar con conexión, sino un espacio vivo, donde niñas, niños, jóvenes y adultos se reúnen para hacerse preguntas grandes, para imaginar soluciones propias, y para compartir el conocimiento de forma colectiva y cuya conexión entre sí, transforma la forma en que nos conocemos y relacionamos. Hoy, niñas, niños, jóvenes, familias y liderazgos locales acceden a Internet estable y gratuito. Investigan, conversan, se forman. Se conectan con otras comunidades, tejen redes y fortalecen su autonomía.
Esta es la muestra de cómo la Biblioteca del Futuro no se trata solo de infraestructura, sino de comunidad, confianza, curiosidad y cambio. En La Guajira, El Tambo y Dominguillo estamos creando juntos la Biblioteca del Futuro.
Y aunque cada territorio tiene su ritmo, su historia y sus desafíos, en todos ellos late una misma energía: la de quienes se atreven a preguntar, a aprender juntos y a soñar con un futuro mejor. Esa es la fuerza que impulsa esta red viva de aprendizaje colectivo, y esa es la fuerza que queremos seguir acompañando.
