Dear Donors and Supporters,
Thank you for your continued commitment to our project, Empowering Youth Leaders for Change. We are pleased to share an update on the progress your support has made possible through our Solve for Change program.
Across Batch 1–3, Solve for Change engaged 146 youth leaders from diverse communities, equipping them with the skills, mentorship, and resources to design and lead initiatives that respond to local challenges. These youth leaders addressed issues ranging from education and livelihoods to climate action and community empowerment.
Rather than focusing only on a small number of winners, the program is designed to generate impact across all participants. From this collective group, 6 youth-led initiatives were implemented, together reaching 1,028 learners across different regions. This shared impact demonstrates how youth-led solutions, when supported, can create meaningful change beyond individual projects.
One example of this collective impact is SOYGOO by GOSOYA, an initiative that combined digital English learning with community-based empowerment activities. Through online and offline sessions in Malang and Kediri, youth and rural women gained access to learning opportunities while building confidence and practical skills. As one participant shared:
“Turns out, English isn’t just a school subject, it can help us connect with people from abroad and makes us brave enough to dream bigger.” — Yaya, 18, Kediri
SOYGOO’s journey reflects the broader experience of Solve for Change participants, transforming local ideas into action with real community outcomes.
This impact is especially significant in communities where young people often have limited access to mentorship and funding. Thanks to your support, youth leaders are not only strengthening their own leadership capacities, but also expanding learning opportunities for others.
We are grateful to have you as partners in empowering youth leaders and creating lasting, community-driven impact.
