Karachi United in partnership with Engro organized women empowerment cup during this period. The cup was begun on 9th January and ended on 22nd January. Girls are often barred from fields for various sport in developing countries like Pakistan. The main objective of this cup was to encourage the girls to take up the sports. Karachi United always believes in gender equality and provide equal opportunities to men and women
The SCB KU Youth League, which is aimed at promoting sports amongst children, and pull them out of destructive activities such as kite flying, marbles, card, drug abuse which are very common in under developing areas of Karachi, started in January. A total number 28 team participated in these 3 months long football league which consists of 22 boys and 6 girls’ teams. The boys were from the age category of U-10, U-12 and U-14, each category.

Karachi United and Standard Chartered Bank organize Youth league every year. This league provides the players a platform to showcase their football talent. Players are encouraged to participate in the league as it creates environment of healthy competition and it also boosts up players’ confidence. This amazing and sensational KU Youth league had to be suspended for a month due to Covid-19 but now this league has been restarted. League is going on with lots of exciting and thrilling matches. A total of 99 matches have been played as of writing date of this report.
Karachi United is not only engaging these kids in healthy activities but also provide assistance in their education and building their character. Other than that, Karachi United keeps running different drives to raise funds for their well-being. As these kids belong to destitute families who struggles to run their kitchen. In order to help them, Karachi United distributed 50 ration bags among the players and coaches. Each ration bag contains flour, tea, sugar, oil and lentils.

Karachi United in collaboration with Standard Chartered Bank launched 4th Youth League on 19th, March 2021. With the remarkable success and very positive feedback Karachi United has been organizing this league in collaboration with Standard Chartered from the last three years. The opening ceremony of the league was held on 19th, March at Karachi United Stadium. This league provides a platform for Youth football teams from across the under-served areas of Karachi to come together, break barriers and inculcate the spirit of competition.
Ramadan is the month of giving, sharing and helping others. Karachi United encapsulates these values by continuing its charitable work and distributed 1500 iftar boxes to all KU Community Centers. Karachi United took this initiative in the collaboration with Pie in the Sky Bakers. Kids in our community centers come from very less privileged segment of the society and destitute families live from hands to mouth. Karachi United supported these families so they can enjoy the blessing of the Holy month of Ramadan.
