MH Education Project - Annual Report 2024

To our donors,

The “Mision Huascaran” team wishes you and your loved ones find themselves in good health. These times are still challenging in Peru, but we face them with optimism and a lot of positive energy. We continue to advance with our educational project “Sponsor a child's education for USD 10 per month”. We would like to share our progress from the fourth quarter of 2023 and say thank you for all the support.

Actions accomplished:

1. We continue with our complementary educational program, benefitting 320 Andean school children in reading comprehension, literacy, and critical thinking at 8 rural schools in Ancash Peru.
2. In the 2024, 2309 hours of comprehensive reading classes were given by the Mision Huascaran Education team.
3. With Raz Plus, an interactive reading platform, our children read over 35.000 digital books.
4. The average reading program attendance rate of our students was 89% in 2024.
5. 59% of the students in the alphabetization program were able to overcome their illiteracy, while 63% of the students in the comprehensive reading classes significantly improved their reading abilities. We are very pleased with these results, which motivates us immensely to keep continuing with our social work in the rural schools in Ancash.
6. All students currently enrolled have access to their personal tablet, giving them access to vanguard learning applications, otherwise not available in the remote rural areas of Peru.

2024 First & Second Quarter MH Education Project

We would like to share our progress from the fourth quarter of 2023 and say thank you for all the support.

Actions accomplished:

2. In the first half of 2024, 966 hours of comprehensive reading classes were given by the Mision Huascaran Education team.
3. With Raz Plus, an interactive reading platform, our children read almost 18.000 digital books.
4. The average reading program attendance rate of our students was 96% in the first half of 2024.
5. All students currently enrolled have access to their personal tablet, giving them access to vanguard learning applications, otherwise not available in the remote rural areas of Peru.
