To our cherished donors and supporters,
Assalaam-o-Alaikum.
Thanks to your unwavering generosity and compassion, Gosha-e-Khatoon-e-Jannat ("The Corner of the Lady of Paradise") is more than just a senior citizen home; it is a thriving community, a sanctuary of peace, and a place where our mothers and grandmothers rediscover joy, purpose, and sisterhood.
This year has been filled with love, activity, and celebration. We are delighted to share this glimpse into the vibrant life you help sustain for our beloved residents.
A Day Filled with Purpose and Peace
Each day at the home begins with the serenity of morning prayers. Our residents enjoy a structured routine that balances personal time, communal activities, and rest. They share meals, lovingly prepared daily by one of their own, Sister Afshan. Their days are filled with meaningful activities like cooking, knitting, embroidery, gardening, and reading, fostering a true sense of family and belonging.
The Blessed Month of Ramadan: A Time of Giving and Togetherness
Ramadan is a particularly special time at home. Thanks to our well-wishers, we were able to distribute heartfelt Ramadan gifts, bringing immense smiles to our residents' faces.
The spirit of community shone brightly during our Iftaar parties, where we broke our fast together in a gathering filled with gratitude, delicious food, and laughter.
The excitement continued on Chaand Raat, where the home was buzzing with the preparation of mehndi, bangles, and Eid outfits. The joy of Eid-ul-Fitr was then celebrated with prayers, feasts, and the warmth of togetherness, making every resident feel cherished.
Honouring Every Mother on Mother's & Women's Day
Every life and every milestone is celebrated here. We make sure every special day is acknowledged with cakes, well-wishes and celebrations, making our residents feel uniquely special.
On Mother’s Day, we honoured the incredible mothers within our walls, recognising their lifelong love and sacrifice. Similarly, Women's Day was a celebration of their strength and resilience, reminding each woman of her inherent value and dignity.
