In northern Syria, where humanitarian suffering has persisted for many years, lives the orphaned girl Nora with her mother and her brother Ghassan in Kafra Camp. Their simple tent lacks even the most basic necessities of life. Despite her young age, Nora carries a deep wound in her heart—one that is not easily healed.
Nora lost her father four years ago while he was attempting to reach Europe in search of safety and a better future for his family. But the boat carrying him and other refugees sank off the Greek coast, cutting the last thread of security from their lives and marking the beginning of a new struggle with displacement, poverty, and loss.
Today, thanks to your generous donations and compassionate hearts, we at Amal Alumma Organization were able to provide a monthly financial sponsorship for Nora. This support means a great deal to the family, helping them secure food, clothing, and Nora’s school needs, and easing the heavy burden carried by her mother, who does her best to provide for her children alone.
The moment the family received the sponsorship was truly touching…
Nora smiled a gentle smile filled with gratitude, while relief appeared clearly on her mother’s face—a feeling she had long been missing, knowing now that someone stands with them and that their journey through hardship is not faced alone.
Your support grants vulnerable families the ability to live with dignity and restores to orphaned children like Nora a small piece of the security they have lost.
