Dear All,
Over the past nine months, our dedicated team has relocated to a new village in Laos and embarked on the construction of a community English school. We recognized that proficiency in English is a prerequisite for employment in Laos, a requirement often unmet in rural schools. Our mission, therefore, is to equip these children with the necessary English skills for future employment opportunities.
We are incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made with the school - it’s nearly complete! However, we’ve hit a slight bump in the road. The donations have been trickling in slower than expected, and we’ve exhausted our current funds before we could add the final touches to the building. We need to raise an additional $4,234.50 to finish the construction.
Our initial plan was to open the school in June. However, due to personal circumstances requiring our project director’s attention and the current financial constraints, we’ve decided to postpone the launch. This delay will also allow us time to raise funds for additional scholarships, ensuring that we can provide as many community members as possible with learning opportunities upon opening.
We are eagerly looking forward to our launch and are hopeful that with your generous support, we can reach our fundraising goal over the next three months. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to realizing our vision.
