On November 30, we concluded our annual seven seek Street Sports Tournament with the grand final in Masiphumelele. The best teams from each of the three communities competed in cricket, soccer and netball. This year was in particular special as we for the first time included netball in order to have more girls participating.
Your generous donations enabled hundreds of kids to play in a safe and exciting environment for every Friday for seven weeks, while being surrounded by supportive coaches and positive influences, which will help them develop healthy habits in the future. We would therefore like to thank our incredible donors and every at African Impact Foundation cannot wait for next year's Street Sports Tournament!
Next year we aim to improve the tournament even more by increase the number of coaches, attract more attendance, as well as further promoting a healthy lifestyle discussing aspects of health, lifestyle, nutrition and safety at various stands at the tournament. Such a booth could for instance offer sports equipment, health information, and physical tests, using the medium of sport and influence as a means to support our venture.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible!
