A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported the annual Cape Town Sports Tournament in the last two years!
3 communities. 250 vulnerable youth. 41 employed coaches. 7 weeks. 1 final.
Street Sports Tournament is an annual seven-week event which unites 250 boys and girls under the age of 15, from Langa, Khayelitsha and Masiphumelele through soccer, cricket and netball. Practice is well underway and this year the final is being held in the township of Langa on November 15th.
DOUBLE YOUR DONATION: For every $1 you donate before 6 November 2019, XOXO Sports will donate an additional $1. XOXO Sports has committed to matching up to $1,350. Donate here.
We believe that sport plays a vital role in children’s lives. In disadvantaged communities, sport provides a positive and healthy outlet for young people, whilst developing their social skills and discipline. The low standard of living means that many children in Cape Town’s township areas do not have access to sport and may often be exposed to negative influences, such as drugs, alcohol, gangs and abuse.
Thank you for making this project possible for another year and for allowing us to inspire confidence and foster healthy habits.
