Safe Water Sports, the organization dedicated to promoting safety in the aquatic environment, was proudly recognized yesterday as the “Best NGO in Education.”
This distinction highlights the organization’s continuous efforts and long-standing commitment to educating children from a very young age about water safety — proving that hard work, persistence, and vision do receive recognition, and giving the strength to continue even further in the years ahead.
On September 19th, Safe Water Sports celebrated its 10-year anniversary with a fundraising event, where major sponsors, partners, and volunteers came together to honor a decade of impactful action, collaboration, and social contribution.
On October 10th, the organization hosted the 7th Sea School Conference, during which teachers and schools from Greece and Cyprus were awarded for their exceptional participation and creative initiatives within the Safe Water Sports educational program.
Looking ahead, Safe Water Sports will continue to expand its educational reach:
In November–December, the organization will travel to Cyprus, presenting and discussing its educational program with schools across the country.
In early December, in collaboration with the Hellenic Swimming Federation and the Ministry of Education, Safe Water Sports will organize a special event to promote the construction of floating swimming pools and to announce its upcoming partnership with the Ministry.
This collaboration aims to ensure that the Safe Swimming Program, developed by the organization, becomes available in all schools across Greece. In regions lacking access to swimming facilities, Safe Water Sports will work closely with Municipalities to construct floating swimming pools at sea, giving every child the opportunity to learn how to swim safely.
