The Voice of Our Audience
"I just wanted to thank you very much for the "Immigrant Quilts" performance on Monday. The students commented about how this was their favorite cultural arts experience this year. Remember, we do not have a drama teacher or drama classes. Therefore, it is so important that we try and bring in experiences such as yours to expose them to a culturally rich environment. We thank you for that enrichment. Thank Story Tapestries for us as well. Without the grant, the experience would have been impossible."

Voices of the Community
We are thrilled to continue to reach people with arts integration programs that help them have a new perspective, a new energy, and new understanding. Each participant is a re-affirmation of the power of arts integration! In the photo above, you have the opporunity to see an example of our work in action. You see how in January we participated in the Youth Leadership Academy, celebrating the 5th year in a row Salisbury, MD has been named one of the 5 Top Cities for Youth through America's Promise. In our workshop, community leaders and youth discovered how to tell stories. They chose to share significant moments when the path of their life was changed.
Give the Gift of Literacy in DC, MD and VA!
The money donated to the project on March 14th
Will help us to secure funding for:
Summer library programs
Fall artist-in-residencies
There are limited funds available, so we ask that you give early to get the benefit of the match and stretch your gift an extra 30%!
Many Libraries have had their funding cut and will not be able to
provide the level of summer programs that they normally could.
Please help us support our public libraries!
This is a way for us to provide interactive performance
and storytelling programs for little to no cost
for libraries and the communities they serve.
Remember a donation from people will help
to end generations of illiterate families.
