While we are excited to share with you about these upcoming events, we also want to share with you about the struggle facing our public libraries. Many libraries have had their funding cut and will not be able to provide the level of summer programs that they normally could. This Wednesday, March 14, we are aligning with Global Giving's Bonus Day in a one-day fundraiser matched at 30% by Global Giving.
It would be invaluable to us if you can help spread the word as we work to provide interactive performances for little to no cost to libraries and the communities they serve in the DC, MD, VA region this summer 2012. Our goal is to raise $4,000 in 24 hours. In addition to summer programs for libraries, we are now building our funding resources for artist-in-residency programs for the fall.
THANK YOU for continuing to Give the Gift of Literacy!
