Relief for Displaced Families in Sudan

Sudan has been engulfed in conflict for more than two and a half years, leaving millions of people across the country facing hunger, disease, and displacement. Approximately 70% of the health system is no longer functional, allowing outbreaks such as cholera, malaria, and measles to spread largely unchecked. With agricultural production brought to a near standstill, the food crisis continues to deepen, while rising prices make it increasingly difficult for families to access even the most basic food supplies.

In response to this ongoing humanitarian crisis, IBC has continued its relief efforts in the Khartoum region of Sudan. Working closely with trusted local and international partners, we have been distributing food parcels, hygiene kits, and daily drinking water to communities in urgent need. These efforts are vital in addressing the immediate survival needs of those caught in the crossfire of the conflict.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors on GlobalGiving, 40 emergency kits were delivered to 40 individuals, ultimately supporting 170 family members. Many of these recipients expressed their relief and gratitude, sharing that the assistance eased the daily burden of finding basic necessities like food and water. We are immensely grateful to our supporters for helping us stand with families in Sudan in this time of acute need.
