We are grateful for your continued partnership in changing the lives of vulnerable children in Alexandra Township, South Africa. With your support, we have been able to provide holistic care and education to hundreds of children who face daily challenges of poverty, trauma, and violence.
Early Childhood Development (ECD)
This year, 60 young children in our ECD Centre benefited from quality early learning in a safe, nurturing environment. Beyond education, children received stimulation activities to build their cognitive and motor skills, preparing them for a stronger start in formal schooling.
Counselling and Emotional Support
Our counselling team walked alongside 250 Grade 1–9 learners, many of whom have experienced trauma, neglect, or abuse. Through individual and group counselling, these children gained tools to process their emotions, build resilience, and improve focus in school.
Nutrition Support
To address food insecurity, children in our programmes received three nutritious meals every day, Monday through Saturday. For many, this is their main source of reliable nutrition. A well-fed child is able to learn better, play freely, and engage fully in their education.
Life Skills and GBV Prevention
Recognising the high levels of gender-based violence (GBV) in our community, we implemented life skills training that helps children identify and prevent violent behaviours. Sessions equip both boys and girls with tools to build healthy relationships, manage conflict, and develop values that reduce the risk of perpetuating GBV in the future.
We had an 8 year old girl who joined our programme struggling with anger and disruptive behaviour in class, stemming from violence she witnessed at home. Through regular counselling sessions and life skills training, she has learned how to manage her emotions in healthier ways. Today, her teachers describe her as “a leader in class who helps other children stay calm.” Her transformation shows how your support is not only changing individual lives but shaping a safer, more hopeful future for her entire community.
our generosity makes all of this possible. Each meal, counselling session, and classroom experience creates ripples of change in the lives of children, their families, and their community. Together, we are not only addressing immediate needs but also breaking cycles of poverty and violence for future generations.
Thank you for standing with us in giving hope to South Africa’s most vulnerable children.
