In Zunguze village, Mchinji District, Bertha's life was transformed by a clean cookstove. She no longer spends hours collecting firewood or breathing in thick smoke that filled her home.
The new stove uses less fuel and reduces smoke exposure, giving Bertha more time for farming and her family. Her family's health has improved, and she's grateful for the change. "I can cook faster and my children are healthier," she says. With more time,
Bertha's also started a small garden, growing veggies and selling some at the market. Clean cookstoves are making a difference in Zunguze and beyond, improving lives and communities.
Thanks to all our generious donors across the world who are making this impact stories happen in Malawi.
