Support for the Most Vulnerable Syrian Children

We are pleased to share a recent update from Amal Center in the Blbul area of northern Aleppo, where your continued support is making a real difference in the lives of children living through extremely difficult circumstances.

Recently, the center organized a community initiative titled “Building Peace”, in collaboration with local community networks. The initiative brought together children and their caregivers in a safe and welcoming space designed to restore hope, joy, and emotional stability.

Children participated in recreational and celebratory activities that helped relieve stress, encourage positive expression, and rebuild a sense of normalcy. At the same time, interactive discussion sessions were held with parents, providing an open space to talk about the daily challenges they face and to promote dialogue around social cohesion, peaceful coexistence, and mutual understanding.

These activities are an essential part of our mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) efforts, aiming to protect children’s emotional well-being and support families who continue to endure displacement, trauma, and uncertainty. Creating safe spaces for children to play, express themselves, and feel heard is a critical step toward healing and long-term resilience.
