Dear HOPE Friends,
Hand pumps are a wonderful way to create a Sadaqa Jaariyah (perpetual charity) for yourself or your loved ones. Not only do they allow impoverished villagers access to a clean water source, this in turn helps reduce the spread of waterborne illnesses such as diarrhea and gastroenteritis.
HOPE USA's hand pumps become a perpetual charity (Sadaqa Jaariyah) for you and your loved ones and even include an inscription.
HOPE has approximately 165 hand pumps in various poor localities, villages, and even mountain regions in Pakistan such as: Ghagger, Gharo, Khatore, Tharpakar, Sakhro, Badin, Karachi (Link Road), Muzaffargarh, Thatta, and Azad Kashmir, just to name a few.
Hand pumps are constructed on a first-come first-serve basis. From the time you place your initial order to the time we can show you pictures of the completed hand pump is approximately eight to ten months. Constructing a hand pump is a lengthy process because several locations must be tested before the team can determine an ideal spot to excavate.
The cost of each hand pump is USD 2,000 and this includes an inscription in English and/or Urdu.
Here is a short video about our hand pumps:
