Dear Supporters,
Nyota Ing'arayo school required improvements to the school’s infrastructure before it could be re-registered with the government, and thanks to your donations we have been able to get started on these improvements. Nyota serves 245 pupils living in the surrounding slums, the teachers and school staff work tirelessly to teach the curriculum as well as teaming up to run extra-curricular activities.
To re-register, the school required funding to complete the following tasks:
These vital improvements allow for the school to remain open and provide valuable education to students from a struggling area. By staying open the school is able to provide the 245 students who attend with daily nutritious meals through the feeding program. For many students this is the only food they receive. Nyota school plays an integral role in the community by improving the health and nutrition of students as well as giving them the opportunity to seek further education, improving their and their families lives.
By funding the maintenance to Nyota school, we have assisted them to re-register the school and remain open and continue serving the students and community.
With Gratitude,
The GVI Trust
