Since 2005, our mission has been to support underprivileged students who want to access higher education and become the first professionals in their families. With personalized mentors, formative workshops and financial assistance, we help these trailblazers navigate the complexities of higher education and unlock their potential.
In Argentina, only 13% of students finished school on time with at least satisfactory levels. Dropout rates average 15% among 17-year-olds and are 3% higher among students in households belonging to the poorest 40% of the population. Achieving a highschool diploma is fundamental for accessing higher education and quality jobs, but for Argentina's most disadvantaged population it has become a great challenge due to the country's economic and social crisis over the last years.
PUENTES's program seeks to shorten the gap between opportunity and access to education. By alleviating financial barriers, offering personalized guidance throughout the academic path, and providing mentorship adapted to each student's unique circumstances, PUENTES enables gifted individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue and thrive in their studies.
