Warm greetings from the Safal MRM Foundation.
As we journey through 2025, we are proud to share our meaningful progress in bringing quality, affordable healthcare closer to families across Kenya, thanks to your continued generosity and support.
In the last four months of 2025, the Mabati Medical Centre remained a vital lifeline for communities in Kilifi County and beyond, attending to 11,146 patients through a blend of curative, diagnostic, and preventative care.
Our diagnostic services conducted 5,920 tests and examinations, reducing barriers to early and accurate diagnoses.
We continued to lead the way in community education and preventative health:
During Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, we empowered 950 women with life-saving information on early detection and the importance of regular screenings.
As part of Children’s Dental Health Month, our team reached 3,200 learners in Kwale and Kilifi Counties, promoting oral hygiene and lifelong dental health.
In Arthritis Awareness Month, 188 physiotherapy patients benefited from education on managing arthritis, offering relief and guidance for a better quality of life.
Our Adolescent and Youth-Friendly Clinic continues to grow its impact.
230 youth in Kayafungo Ward and Majengo participated in sessions covering sexual and reproductive health, HIV awareness, and substance abuse prevention.
At the Mabati Technical Training Institute, 133 female students were engaged in a powerful reproductive health awareness session led by our in-house psychologist, strengthening trust and access to support services.
April and May brought special focus to key health priorities:
We offered free malaria screening and treatment on April 25 (World Malaria Day), reaching 86 patients.
For Hypertension Awareness Month, we hosted a major health talk at Mariakani Social Hall, promoting early detection and lifestyle education to over 620 community members.
In May’s Vision Health Month, we joined hands with Lions Medical Centre to host a free eye camp at the Mabati Medical Centre, serving 257 patients and facilitating 16 cataract surgeries.
Looking ahead, we are excited to launch specialized gynecological and general physician clinics, expanding our care offerings to meet even more community needs.
All of this progress is possible because of you. Your commitment is not only healing individuals but also strengthening communities and restoring dignity and hope.
With gratitude,
The Safal MRM Foundation
