In the US:
DOHS, working to elect new board members to join the board of directors. We are eager to bring in new faces and new ideas to move DOHS forward.
This project successfully fulfilled its purpose, including the shipment of over 80,000 donated items to families in Chad. All of our resources and attention are now dedicated to our current food and cash assistance project.
Our organization is now fully focused on our current active project, titled:
“Providing Food and Cash Assistance to Displaced Families in Chad”, launched on October 19, 2024.

We are grateful for GlobalGiving’s continued support and the opportunity to serve vulnerable communities through your platform.
In Darfur, Sudan:
On April 15th, 2023, a war broke out in West Darfur, Sudan. Forcing more than 1.9 million people to cross the border to the neighboring countries: Chad, Libya, the Central African Republic, Egypt, Ethiopia, and South Sudan. The ongoing war in Sudan has resulted in a dire humanitarian crisis, leaving countless killed, wounded, and assaulted. The country urgently needs assistance to address issues such as food insecurity, access to clean water, clothes, shoes, tarpaulins, medical supplies, etc.
Due to the current situation in West Darfur, Sudan, the DOHS team aboard has relocated to a safer location in Chad. We have been working very closely with the team back home and continue to monitor the difficulties our people are currently experiencing.
We would love you to continue your support through our new project and share with family and friends to help us spread the word about our work and continue to grow our community of supporters like you. If you’re willing to share the story of our work with your network, we’d be incredibly grateful. Below is our link to the new project, and please don’t hesitate to reach us if you have any questions or comments. Thank you again!
