Dear Partners,
Thank you for standing with our students and Fellows. Your support brings stability, care, and a sense of possibility into classrooms that have long needed it. Over the past few months, we witnessed moments that reminded us why this work matters and how deeply your generosity shapes what children experience in school.
Students' Vision for their Futures
During a routine observation visit to a school, Coach Syeda checked in with a small group of students after having observed a lesson. She asked them about their visions for the future: what they hoped for, what they were curious about, and what they dreamed for themselves. The students turned the conversation toward her. They asked about her own goals, what she was working toward, and whether she had been a Fellow herself. Then they asked about her studies, her role as a Coach, and how she had reached where she is now.
It was a brief exchange, but an important one. The students felt safe enough to question an adult with real interest, curiosity, and seriousness. They were thinking about their futures with intention, and looking to the adults around them to understand what their own paths might look like. These moments show us that when students feel supported, they begin thinking about their futures with strong conviction and they expect the same from the people guiding them.
Celebrating the Real Heroes of Our Work this Children's Day
The reality of many underserved classrooms is that students don't feel loved, valued, or acknowledged for who they are and what they do. Praise is rare, care is inconsistent, and most classrooms aren’t set up to celebrate children. In these environments, joy often feels like an interruption rather than something children deserve. This is why love is at the center of our work.
This Children's Day, Fellows Mahrukh and Zumer decided to celebrate their students. They spent hours making handmade cards for every child in the primary section and turned the school corridors into a display where each student’s work was acknowledged and appreciated.
The day before, many students had approached the Fellows asking them what they'd be doing for them this Children's Day. Their question - hopeful and trusting - shows the kind of relationship our Fellows build: one where children feel safe expecting and asking for care. For students who rarely feel celebrated or individually recognised at school, this simple act became a moment they held onto.
We're looking for leaders who are Built For This movement
Many children in our partner schools have experienced years of schooling that have mirrored the inequities they live in. They have learned to adapt and push through, often without the consistency or attention that helps them feel seen. In these classrooms, the presence of the right adult can shift everything - how a child learns, how they see themselves, and what they imagine for their future.
This is why recruitment is such an important part of our work. As we open applications for the 2026 Fellowship, we're looking for people who are really Built For This. This reflects what the work genuinely requires. Fellows must bring steadiness, patience, and a commitment to holding on to a child’s potential even when the system does not. These are the people we hope to welcome into the movement next year. Learn more about our recruitment here.
Thank You
Your support makes these moments possible. It strengthens our classrooms, our Fellows, and the hope our students carry with them. Thank you for helping to Keep Pakistan learning.
