Four years ago, families fleeing Ukraine arrived in Poland believing they would be away for only a few weeks. Today, many are still rebuilding their lives far from home.
Because of you, they have not had to do that alone.
Within 24 hours of the invasion, WONDER Foundation mobilised. Through our local partner PONTES, we have supported thousands of women and their families with safe housing, access to dignified work, language learning, education, and vital psychosocial support. As the situation has evolved, so has our response. What began as emergency relief has grown into long term, steady accompaniment.
Women in their sixties are retraining and navigating new labour markets. Children are learning Polish. Mentors continue to walk alongside families year after year, providing stability, guidance and community.
Your generosity has made this sustained commitment possible. At a time when global attention has shifted, your support ensures that dignity, opportunity and hope remain at the centre of this work.
Thank you for standing with women and families from Ukraine over these past four years.
To read their stories and learn more about the impact you are making, we invite you to read our full blog post.
