One of them is Mr. Ahmad, a 68-year-old father from the city of Salqin. Not long ago, he visited a doctor after his health suddenly declined. The diagnosis changed everything — kidney failure, requiring dialysis three times every week just to survive.

Since that day, the SEMA-supported dialysis center in Kafr Takharim has become his lifeline.

There he receives the dialysis sessions, medication, and medical care that keep him alive. The center also helps transport patients from their homes to the clinic, making treatment possible for those who have no other option.

Mr. Ahmad says the illness has exhausted him physically and emotionally, but knowing that the dialysis center is there for him has given him hope to keep going.

However, this hope remains fragile.

Hundreds of patients depend on this center for survival.

If the support stops, the treatment stops — and for many patients, that could mean losing their chance to live.

In these blessed last ten nights of Ramadan, Mr. Ahmad is asking people of compassion to help keep this center running so its doors remain open for every patient who needs dialysis.

Yaman, a newborn baby, came into this world after an emergency C-section due to sudden placental abruption during pregnancy. In those terrifying moments, his tiny heart stopped beating, and his family thought they had lost him. But thanks to your donations and the dedication of our doctors at one of SEMA’s hospitals in northern Syria, our medical team was able to successfully resuscitate his small heart, bringing hope back to his family when they almost lost it.

Today, Yaman is still here with his loved ones, alive and well, thanks to your donations that made this life-saving care possible. We, along with his family, are deeply grateful to you as Yaman may go home at any moment. But the bitter reality is that many other newborns in northern Syria are still fighting for their survival.

Premature births, severe complications, and the severe shortage of medical supplies put these infants' lives at constant risk. Their parents wait anxiously, hoping for a chance at life, just as Yaman received.
