2,300 Hot Meals Reached Gaza's Families in May... But Hunger Still Knocks on Thousands of Doors

By HUSSAM AUSTA | project leader

To All Compassionate Hearts,

In Gaza, the voices of children are heard only when mixed with the cries of hunger.
In Gaza, the lights go out at night not just because of power outages, but because hope is fading from the eyes of thousands of families.

The siege has become suffocating, and death by starvation is now a real threat. After months of bombing and isolation, most food items have vanished from the markets, bakeries have shut down, warehouses are empty, and displacement and destruction continue to strip away what remains of life.

Amidst this humanitarian catastrophe, and thanks to your generous support, we were able during the month of May to distribute 2,300 hot meals to 2,300 displaced families in northern Gaza. These meals were more than just food — they were a message of warmth and life for families exhausted by hunger, cold, and fear.

But the painful reality remains: these efforts have not yet reached the thousands of families who are still waiting for a single meal to ease their hunger.

People in Gaza are not asking for luxuries — they are simply asking for their basic right to live. A meal to survive, clean water to drink, and a safe place for their children. Together with you, we can make a real difference, just as we have done before — and more.

From under the rubble of Gaza, we hear their sincere prayers and trembling voices:
"Don't forget us. Don't leave us alone."

So we appeal to you — in the name of our shared humanity and the compassion that unites us all — to continue your support and extend your hands once again to deliver food to those who have nothing left.

Every contribution, no matter the size, could mean saving a life, and reviving a small heart worn down by hunger and fear.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts,
To everyone who contributed, donated, and stood in solidarity — you are the hope.

With deep gratitude,
