Dear Donor,
We are pleased to share with you this humanitarian report about our efforts to provide hot rice meals to the family of little Salha, who is enduring one of life’s hardest trials after losing one of her eyes when a shard struck her left eye during an explosion near their home. The incident forced the family to flee and seek refuge in one of the shelter centers in Deir al-Balah, Gaza Strip.
Background on the Child and Her Family
Salha now lives with constant pain, her young life changed by the traumatic injury she suffered. Along with her physical loss, the family lost their home and had to move to an overcrowded shelter lacking basic necessities. She requires ongoing care, while her family struggles to secure daily food amid the difficult conditions the region is facing.
Humanitarian Intervention
This week, our team reached the shelter and provided the family with warm servings of rice. Their reaction was simple yet deeply emotional; Salha’s mother expressed how such a warm meal eases some of the heavy burden they carry. As for Salha, she greeted the meal with a shy smile—one of the few warm meals she has had in days.
Impact of Your Support
Your generosity has helped us provide warm, nutritious food to families and children who have lost so much. Delivering hot rice to this family means more than meeting hunger—it represents care, safety, and the feeling that they are not forgotten. These small acts of support become lifelines for families struggling to survive in harsh, unstable conditions.
A Note of Gratitude
We extend our deepest thanks for your kindness and trust. Your continued support enables us to reach more families facing similar hardships and reminds them that compassion still exists in this world.
With your help, small moments of relief become great hopes in the lives of others. Thank you for being a source of strength and mercy.
