Supporting children's literacy in rural Mexico!

Dear friends,

Our staff and volunteers have just concluded a wonderful school year! This year, we partnered with the Mexican government to distribute books to 1,600 third graders and hosted several engaging events with children, an astronomer, and an author. Witnessing the children's enthusiasm for reading reaffirms our belief in the mission of LPT. Our work is impactful and truly makes a difference.

Looking ahead, we are preparing to host two summer camps: one in Dolores Hidalgo and another in the community of Estancia de San Antonio, about 30 minutes from San Miguel. All our services are provided free of charge for children and include food and educational materials. The cost for a five-day summer camp is only $35 per child—just $7 a day.

Today is an important day! On July 16 at 10am until July 17 at 10am, any donation of $100 or more raised can receive a 'boost' from GlobalGiving's Incentive Fund.* We are just $6,000 away from reaching our 2025 fundraising goal- can you help us reach that goal?

* The 2025 July Bonus Day campaign will have an Incentive Fund of $125,000 USD.  The Incentive Fund will be distributed to participants proportionally based on final fundraising totals. This means that, at the end of the campaign, the projects that bring in the most dollars will win the largest portion of the Incentive Fund and every project that activates donors will win something.
