This project aims to support families displaced from Beirut, South, and Bekaa due to Lebanon's multi-faceted crisis, leaving internally displaced people in dire need for external assistance. Many of these families have lost their homes and livelihoods, leaving them without access to basic needs like food and hygiene. The initiative will provide immediate relief to IDPs, ensuring access to food and hygiene kits as well as hot meals, emergency first aid kits, mattresses, pillows, and blankets.
The displacement crisis in Lebanon has been exacerbated due to the loss and damage of homes, forcing hundreds of families to leave their homes, particularly in Beirut, South, and Bekaa regions. The influx of displaced families has strained local resources, creating an urgent need for food security, hygiene support, and shelter.
With $150,000 in funding, this project will deliver food parcels and hygiene kits to displaced families, as well as providing them with hot meals over a specific period of time. Each donation will provide a family with the intended consumables, kits, and mattresses. The project will also coordinate with local organizations to ensure that displaced families receive protection services and are aware of their rights.
This project will not only address the immediate needs of displaced families but will also contribute to their long-term resilience. By providing essential food and hygiene supplies, as well as emergency first aid kits and mattresses, we reduce the risk of malnutrition and disease and provide material for families to be sleeping on. Moreover, protection and rights advocacy will empower displaced individuals to navigate the crisis with greater security and dignity, ultimately helping them rebuild
