By IsraAID Staff | IsraAID Colombia
More than two billion people around the world lack access to safe water. In communities already threatened by displacement, war, and climate crisis, the right to water is key to survival.
IsraAID’s water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) experts are working to put water in the hands of vulnerable communities across the globe. Our teams currently implement water access programs in 8 countries, ensuring thousands of people gain access to water every year. Alongside our trusted local partners, we are committed to having a sustainable impact on those we serve, building stronger, more resilient communities.
In Colombia, our teams recently delivered 300 Sawyer Water Filters to households grappling with contaminated water sources. These compact, durable filters effectively remove harmful bacteria and parasites, reducing the risk of waterborne illnesses common in the region. Our WASH experts trained families how to operate and maintain them. 1,800 people now have reliable access to clean drinking water, fostering a healthier, more resilient community.
