A New Home for Guatemala's Online Curriculum

Since the beginning of this year, members of the OLI Board of Directors have met monthly with authorities and technicians from the Curriculum Directorate of the Ministry of Education (MINEDUC) of Guatemala to learn about the progress in the implementation of the Online Curriculum transfer plan, agreed upon by both institutions. In recent months, the Ministry of Education contracted the cloud services that will host the Guatemalan Online Curriculum (https://cnbguatemala.org). Last May, the content of the site and all the links were transferred to the MINEDUC server in a more recent version of wiki, the programming language used by CNBGuatemala.org. Thanks to your generous contributions, in the coming weeks, computer experts will be hired to evaluate the content and efficiency in the operation of the new site, before its launch. In parallel, the MINEDUC and Online Learning Initiative will initiate a communication campaign to users in Guatemala and abroad promoting the site and publicizing their new residence. We will communicate the web address of the new site very soon.

The authority of the old page will be transferred to that of the MINEDUC, which will avoid losing the great positioning that -thanks to your contributions- has CNBGuatemala.org in web search engines (see graph). Thank you so much for your continued support during this move!
