Today is July 16, 2025: Day 1239 of war in Ukraine. This report is bittersweet: bitter because the war still continues and seems to be taking uglier forms, yet sweet because there are still kind and compassionate people who continue to feel the pain of others and reach out with a helping hand.
But first of all, thank you for your continued support through GlobalGiving. Your donations are making a real difference for Ukrainian families who have lost everything.
Who We're Helping
This quarter, through this project, Life Quality was able to support around 30 families of internally displaced people who fled the completely destroyed areas of the Donetsk region, some from the Sumy and Luhansk regions. Many of these families are now living in the Kyiv region and Zakarpattia, trying to rebuild their lives far from home.
Most of our recipients are elderly people with severe health conditions like heart disease and diabetes, as well as mothers with children. They not only lost their homes but also their access to regular medical care.
What We're Doing
With your donations, we've been putting together survival packages that include:
Essential food items that don't spoil quickly
Some comfort items, like sweets
Each package is designed to help a family get through their most difficult time while they figure out their next steps.
Your Impact
Every dollar you've donated goes directly to buying food for these displaced families. We keep detailed receipts and take photos when we deliver packages, so you can see exactly how your money is being used.
The gratitude we receive from these families is overwhelming. Despite losing everything, they remain hopeful and thankful for the support from people like you around the world.
Moving Forward
The war continues, and so does the need. We're working toward our goal of helping 150 more families by fall 2025. With your continued support, we can continue to provide these essential survival packages to families who have nowhere else to turn.
