Dear Friends,
We are so happy to tell you we have succesfully carried out Vermicomposting stations in four public kindergartens in Concón, Viña del Mar and Quintero! following our workshops with the kids, on the last one we get into organic waste and what we can do with it.
The kids are so excited everytime, hands on we separeted different kinds of waste and dispose it in the correct places and when it come to organic waste it's time to build out "Hotel for worms and other bugs".
We put toghether our Vermi composting tower, go through each floor and what the worms need and like to live there happily, we talk about moisture, temperature and food, then they get to meet them and is always an amazng experience. Some of the kids are more use to interacting with smaller creatures, for some is something newer, especially when they are viscous, but always ends on the positive side.
The kids become guardians, they care for them, feed them and in a couple of months they will be able to use the compost for nurturing their veggie gardens we have also installed for them, completing the cycle having learned and experience food in a new way.
We are certain this experiences and open spaces for education will have a positive impact, both in the short and the long term.
Thank you so much for the support, it multiplies!
Have an amazing week,
