By Dom Williams | GVI Latin America Projects Director
With much of the infrastructure and construction attention being placed on our new project in Chiriza, Karla, a local staff member of GVI, suggested we concentrate on repairing portions of the school and school grounds in the community of La Thompson. Because of the financial support from past volunteers and donors who have heard about the project, we were able to complete a wonderful revamp of La Thompson to include: completed fence around the school, fencing around garden plots, a new wood wall to replace the broken down plastic wall to our outdoor classrooms and wood reinforcement of the door to the school kitchen. GVI staff, volunteers and the children are very happy with these improvements!
