2012 has been an excellent year in Nicaragua, 2013 is going to be even better, thanks to all our donors past, present and future! This year, looking at the final grades, all the children successfully moved on to the next grade (bar a couple), with maths being strong. Our secondary school children, who we give scholarships to, equally did very well.
In 2013, with our donor-funded six paid local teachers, we will be concentrating on the three vital groups of education: pre-school, where will be investing in new didatic materials to stimulate learning; primary school and secondary school reinforcement, where we will be investing in a library and stocking it with many resource books for their learning, whilst also having our local teachers help them reinforce their education.
Very exciting times and thanks to our current Christmas Appeal, we hopefully will be able to feed all our children aswell. Thanks to past, present and future donors, Happy Holidays to you all and together we can bring first-class education to our communities in Nicaragua
cheers
