Listening hard on the first day!

Hi there

This Wednesday, get ready for an exciting way to make your donation BIG. Keep an eye on your emails on Wednesday morning for an announcement on how to make your donation grow!

In La Thompson 38 children have joined us this year in pre-school, over three levels in the school. We have had more children arrive into primary as well as more and more families understand the importance of education.

The new school year has started well in Alexis Arguello with 107 children; 50 in preschool, 15 in 1st grade, 13 in 2nd grade, 12 in 3rd grade, five in 4th graade, four in 5th grade and eight in 6th grade - and of course day one had to start with a piñata!

On 14th February, Día del Cariño was celebrated in both schools, with emphasis on the importance of love within families and friendship between students. Whilst a commercial day in many countries, it is important to stress the reasons behind this day, and hugs were given all round!

Look out for our next report on Wednesday morning, with our exciting announcement and plans for 2013 in Guatemala!

Thank you for your continued support.
