Dear Friends and Family,
At the end of term last year our fitst veggie garden at a school in South Africa after feeding all the children prepared veggie boxes for all the children to take home for the holiday and the smiles from the children and parents was outstanding.
At the same time I visited 3 of the 34 schools we currently support in Zimbabwe, that is over 9,000 primary school children that need food, while the feeding program is absouletly amazing it became clear that the schools are cooking and using dirty water and because of the limited funding many days provide e-pap as the meal, e-pap is a great pre-cooked porridge that is a blend of maize, soya, vitamins and minerals so it ensures they get the right vitamins and minerals but it is mixed with this dirty water.
Seeing the results of the veggie garden in South Africa we want to look at providing Aquaponics and/or veggie gardens to each school in the future so these children get a mix of real fresh produce in their diet.
A Healthy Child is able to learn quicker and to their full potential so together will continue our efforts to install more veggies gardens across Africa and Asia.
Thank You,
