In 2016 we plan to continue investing in our sustainable income plans which not only provide essential extra income for the local families for medicine and further education costs though will also help us cover costs of our own schools. We plan to increase our herd in Plan Moo to 100 cows and increase the coverage of our Plan Pollo (chickens) to one hundred families. Plan Café in Honduras once again paid for all the graduation costs and admin needed and Plan Tilapia (fish) is due for its first harvest of the year. Plan Corte (weaving) is already providing regular employment as well as Plan Nixtamal (maiz grinding). We plan to start several sustainable plans in Perú including llamas and alpacas as well as vegetable gardens in all the countries. Our aim is to have 500 families benefitting from the plans by the end of the year; how...? Here's how:
Due to the huge success of our inaugural Phoenix Seven Continent Charity Challenge in 2015 we will be repeating it on Saturday 30th April. This year we will be asking that all funds raised will go towards implementing a sustainable plan of your choice so please do have a look at the link below for different targets from as little as $150 and also more information on challenges that are already in the pipeline which so far include the London Bridges Challenge (25km and 16 bridges) and the Wharfdale 3 Peaks in England; events in Boston and Austin in the US; climbing Acatenango volcano in Guatemala; painting the whole school inside and out in Honduras and hikes in both Ecuador and Perú.
