The importance of our sustainable income plans cannot be under-estimated. Their value, not just for income for the local families though also to help cover our schools' costs, is paramount to the successful future of the projects in Guatemala, Honduras, Ecuador and Perú.
With the income derived from the plans for the families, further education costs can be covered, like in Ecuador where Plan Moo (cows), Plan Cuy (guines pigs) and Plan Huerto (vegetables) have benh contributing to these costs for the past few years. Plan Café (coffee plantation) covers graduation costs in Honduras and Plan Negocio (business), Plan Pollo (chickens) and Plan Tilapia (fish) are all starting to contribute to monthly costs. In Guatemala, Plan Corte (weaving) helps to cover our internet and electricity costs, Plan Pollo and Plan Huerto will help to pay for school materials and in the future, Plan Moo will make in-roads into our teachers' salaries. In Perú, we are still planning what can be done, due to the geography (desert) though Alpacas and Llamas are on the radar, as well as vegetable in the nearby Chacras.
The beauty of your donations to this page is that they don't just work once, they work for years to come as the investment in a sustainable plan continues to give.
Cheers
