We are thrilled to share with you the transformative power of scholarships. While all causes are worthy of support, we want to highlight the long-term impact that scholarships can have on individuals and communities.
In Costa Rica, many schools are oversubscribed, leading to part-time education for many students. High dropout rates and limited teacher training further exacerbate the situation. Poverty plays a significant role in this, as many families cannot afford to send their children to school.
However, we have seen firsthand how scholarships can break this cycle of poverty. By providing a quality education to children living in poverty, we empower them to change their circumstances. It’s a long-term plan with high success and impact rates.
This year, we are proud to share that one of our recent graduates is now working for the United Nations. Furthermore, we have funded scholarships for four young people in 2023. These achievements underscore the potential that each scholarship holds.
