Thanks to your support, thousands of migrant women and girls now have life-saving information in the palm of their hands—when and where they need it most.
At Ipas Latin America and the Caribbean (Ipas LAC), we work to ensure that women and all people with reproductive capacity have the correct information, feel supported in their decisions, and have the confidence to access safe abortion and contraceptive services when they need them. With your help, the Te Acompaño chatbot is making that possible every single day.
Since its launch in September 2023, the Te Acompaño chatbot has reached more than 14 000 people and facilitated over 12 900 conversations. This tool is actively used and promoted by approximately 14 civil society organizations and national, local, and regional health institutions that work side by side with migrant communities.

The chatbot provides crucial information on accessing reproductive health services, including:

Why this matters: +41% of chatbot interactions come from Chiapas and Tabasco—states with high numbers of migrants—showing us that outreach efforts are working and that the tool is meeting people exactly where they are.
Te Acompaño is part of Ipas LAC’s Innovative Technology for Safe Abortion Communication efforts. It was created in response to the regional migration crisis to address the reproductive health needs of women and other people with reproductive capacity along major migration routes in Mexico.
Beyond its direct impact, this program also shares knowledge and best practices, inspiring other organizations to develop their own tools for safe abortion support.
