A huge THANK YOU to everyone for supporting The Girl Impact, African Impact Foundation’s gender equality program!
WAKIPA means ‘Wanawake ya Kilimanjaro Pamoja’, which translates to ‘Women of Kilimanjaro Together’.
The WAKIPA Women’s Group in started in 2014 in Moshi, Tanzania and went through a number of different curricula such as health workshops, empowerment activities, English lessons, and a business training program. Through The Girl Impact, these women were able to start a catering company, generate income, and improve their futures!
We are happy to report that the catering company is doing very well and the women are now mentoring our new girl’s group who is interested in starting their own soap making business.
By supporting this program you are investing in the future of women and girls, like the WAKIPA Women.
Thank you, none of this would be possible without you.
