The National Lived Experience Leadership Project

This project will partner with people experiencing homeless to become leaders in thier communities to assist others with resolving homelessness. The project consist of multiple components. The Bring America Home NOW (BAHN) Campaign, spearheaded by the National Coalition for the Homeless, is a comprehensive grassroots campaign to end homelessness in the U.S. Led by people who have themselves experienced homelessness, the campaign focuses on the passage of federal legislation aimed at addressing.  

NCH has developed a series of state captains to begin a canvassing project to desiminate information to local communities about the issues related to homeless that are unique to thier communities.  NCH will destributing state templ;ate legislation to inform local elected offficial about policies and oprogram that will reduce homeless in thier community.  

We believe that the leadership of those who have experienced homelessness is critical to bringing an end to this crisis. The 2025 National Lived Experience Leadership Conference will bring together change agents with recent homelessness experience and local leaders and activists to build power and unity - and to mobilize for action to end homelessness.
This year, we expect to welcome 400 participants to the conference. All funds raised will be used to cover the costs of the conference, including travel,room and board for participants with lived experience of homelessness.

NCH has also opened a new field office with the Sacrement Homeles Union.  NCH is working on creating new staewide coalitions in Maryland DC and Arizonia.
