Dear Friend,
Greetings from the El Shaddai family!
The issue of housing for slum dwellers in India is a pressing challenge, given the rapid urbanization and population growth in the country. Slums are informal settlements characterized by inadequate housing, poor sanitation, and overcrowding. Millions of people live in such conditions,
By providing secure, affordable, and sustainable housing, we can uplift millions of people from poverty and ensure a better future for all.
We at El Shaddai feel that housing is not just a basic need but a stepping stone toward dignity, stability, and hope. With this belief in mind, we at El Shaddai ensure that every monsoon the underprivileged communities are take care of. They are provided tarpaulin sheets, blankets and warm clothes. Our team visits all the slums in Goa and ensures that these families have a proper shelter.
We have a story of hope of a little boy named Manav. He lived with his family of six members in the slums of Goa in a makeshift structure made of tin sheets offering little protection from the scorching heat or the torrential monsoons. He often dreamt of having a different life where he did not have to worry about the water dripping from his house or where the next meal will come from. One day he and his family came across our outreach team while they were conducting a health camp. His joy knew no bounds when the El-Shaddai team ensured him that his family will be provided with tarpaulin sheets, warm home cooked meals and education for the children. Now this child is very happy for his dream came true.
This child’s story reminds us that small interventions can create big ripples of change in the lives of underprivileged children.
By addressing basic needs like housing, education, and safety, we can help millions of children realize their potential and work toward a brighter future. We can help all such children only with your continuous help and support. We express our heartfelt gratitude in changing houses to homes and sharing the belief that every child deserves a safe home, an education, and the chance to dream.
Together we can provide shelter and hope!
Sincerely,
El Shaddai family!
