Dear Patron,
Greetings from El Shaddai Charitable Trust. We bring to you our report on “This monsoon provide safety to the slum dwellers”
Slum dweller housing in India typically involves substandard, temporary structures in overcrowded, unplanned areas lacking basic amenities like clean water, sanitation, and electricity. These conditions result in health issues, limited access to education, and employment instability for the residents. The situation of these slum dwellers worsen during the monsoons.
To help all these slum dwellers to have a shelter from the heavy rains and strong winds, we provide them tarpaulin sheets so that it will create a barrier against water, preventing leaks in homes and protecting families from the elements. It will create drier living environments, reducing the risk of respiratory illnesses, skin infections, and other diseases associated with dampness.
The help provided by distributing tarpaulin are crucial for vulnerable populations, especially after natural disasters like cyclones or during the monsoon season.
The tarpaulin distribution drives are conducted by the outreach workers of the Shelters in north and south.
We are grateful to all our sponsors, donors and friends who have supported us in the mission through which we have been able to provide help to the underprivileged communities.
Thank you for helping and serving the needy and for being a beacon of hope.
With Gratitude
El Shaddai family
