After launching this fundraising campaign, Wakipa Women commenced their event and business management training courses. These courses are led by Valentina, a local events expert, who the women have come to absolutely love and look up to as a mentor. These courses are happening at her own venue and has also made her space available for their practical exams.
Currently the women are going through their last week of training (12 week training course) and getting ready for their practical exams. In celebration of African Impact and African Impact Foundation being present in Moshi for 5 years - we celebrated! The women were put to the test and held their first big event for this celebration. We can announce that is was a great success! Check out the great pictures of the women in action.
The next step is training the women in a mentorship program who then in return will mentor 13 young women from their community to receive the same skills as well as the soft skills to create their own business.
