Our midwife training project is at 93% of our funding goal. We're almost there! We chose this project to be the focus of our Giving Tuesday campaign in early December. We received $31,422 in donations and GlobalGiving added $4261 from their matching fund for a total of $35,682.
This means that we will be able to send all our Bali and Lombok midwives who need extra training back to school for a final year. They are required to fulful a recent giovernment regulation that Indonesian midwives must have an extra year of training to keep their license. This leaves only a few junior midwives who still need to be trained and they will go in the 2026 cohort.
All our remaining senior Bali and Lombok midwives will now receive the extra certification required and keep delivering gentle, loving woman-to-woman care at our Bali and Lombok clinics.
